Entry for water from Soleymanieh spring into Shotor Galou, Bagd-e Fin, Kashan, Iran
Kashan is the capital of Kashan County, in the province of Isfahan, Iran. In the past it was an important center for the production of high quality pottery and tiles. It is now widely known for manufacturing carpets, and other textile arts. Bagd-e Fin (Fin Garden), a walled garden dating to 1590, is a historical Persian garden. A UNESCO Heritage site, it is the oldest extant garden in Iran. It has several water features fed by a natural spring (Soleymanieh spring) on a hillside behind the garden that has been flowing for over 7000 years, so no mechanical pumps are needed.
