Barton Aqueduct, Manchester Ship Canal, Greater Manchester. An engraving of James Brindley's Barton Aqueduct which carried the Bridgewater Canal over the River Irwell. This engraving predates the creation of the Manchester Ship Canal and the swing bridge between 1887 and 1894.
