DOCKWEILER, Cn^ult-ing Engineer for the City At-torneys office, was born in XewYork, Eebruary 20, 1864. and re-moved to California the same was educated at St. Vincent Col-lege, resides in San Francisco andhas ol!ices on the fourth floor of the<irant building. Mr. Dockweilerfirst entered the service of the mu-nicipality in 1904, when he was en-gaged by City Attorney Percy \\Long to furnish data and expert ad-vice in connection with the waterrate litigation. He had previouslycome prominently before the publicin Los Angeles, as City Engineer,and later was active in the negotia-tions attending the taking over bythe city of the existing privately-owned Los Angeles water supply. It was because of the expertknowledge displayed by Engineer Dockweiler in this connection thathis assistance was later sought by San Francisco, former City At-torney Franklin K. Lane, now Secretary of the Interior,
