OKINAWA, Japan (Nov. 30, 2017) Sailors visit caves and shrines during a visit to the World War II battle site “Hacksaw Ridge” as part of a cultural exchange. The exchange was intended to increase understanding and partnerships between Japanese and American service members through shared dialogue on World War II history and present day military service. Participating Sailors included members from Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa, Commander, Task Force 76, and other tenant commands on Okinawa. ( Navy
