Again as in D. ihomsoni. the authorship of this species was consistently attributed to Norman until its correct attribution was established by Sivertsen and Holthuis (1956) and the illustrated specimen was selected as the lectotype by Christiansen (1969).. Thomson did not illustrate this species and mentions it in the following passage following directly on from the reference to Rochinia carpenteri. 1 quote from a preliminary notice of the Crustacea by the Rev. A. Merle Norman: "Ethusa granulala (sp. n), the same species as that found off Valentia, hut exhibiting.
