An extremely long flintlock shotgun, T. Wastl, Vienna(?), circa 1730. Octagonal barrel merging to round with smooth bore in 21 mm calibre. Bronze front and rear sight. The chamber and muzzle have floral engraving with cupids. The sighting flat is signed, "Lazaro Lazarino". The lock is beautifully chiselled with hunting themes and bears the signature, "T. Wastl" within the arms of the frizzen spring. Carved walnut half stock with horn nose cap and ornamentally engraved bronze furniture with remnants of gold plating. Original ramrod with horn tip. Length 165 cm. ,
