Dakota Meyer leads a formation of Marines from the 1st Marine Corps District, holding the organizational colors high during the last stretch of the Tunnel to Towers run in Manhattan Sept. 29. Tunnel to Towers, a 5-kilometer run, is held annually in honor of firefighter Stephen Siller. Siller, who ran to the World Trade Center through the Battery Tunnel with all his gear on during the attacks on 9/11, ultimately lost his life during his attempt to save others.
