In weather there was a variety, with one day of sunshine and then two of cold, rain and high winds, which made additional work in wrapping plants for delivery. In fact, the weather in general, previ- ous to Easter, was not favorable for a large supply of Easter lilies; conse- quently many plants were sold with white buds. Some growers, indeed, will have a good percentage of their in- tended Easter crop coming in this week. Great inconvenience was suffered by those growers who had counted much on the Saturday before Eastei being a good day for the outdoor market, for it rained hard all day. Tulips, hyacinths and daffodils hung on well and were in good condition for sale. Narcissus was a scarce article; this, however, did not cut any figure, as there was plenty of other stock to substitute. The pot plant trade is increasing in popularity every year, and the florists are giving greater attention to this side of the business. Though the cut flower trade was good and was quite sufficient to consume the supply, in most places it did
