Graves and monuments at West Norwood Cemetery which was first used in1837.

West Norwood Cemetery is open daily to the public, although the catacombs can only be accessed on a guided tour. It covers 42 acres (17 hectares ). It was opened in 1837 and is still in use today. This section is a Greek Necropolis. There had been an influx of immigrants from Greece following the Greek war of independence and the massacre on the island of Chios in 1822. Many of these immigrants were wealthy and negotiated an area of the cemetary for tombs an mausoleums commemorating thier community.
