A Gothic breech-loading cannon, Southern German or Italian, circa 1500. Wrought iron. Round, forged, smooth bore barrel with reinforced muzzle and reinforcing bands, calibre 6 cm. Lateral trunnions with movable swivel fork. Rectangular breech, backend with straight bar for pointing the cannon. Round breechblock with attached handle and shallow pan with vent. Comes with a heavy iron fixation wedge. Total length 147 cm, length of barrel 78 cm.
