Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching to middle of frons, the 3rd short; irons smooth ; eyes large, round; antennae of male minutely serrate with bristles and cilia ; tibia? with the spurs moderate : build slender. Fore wing long and narrow, the apex rounded, the termen obliquely curved : vein 2 from beyond middle of cell, strongly curved towards base : 3. 4 stalked and typically curved downwards towards base ; 5 from angle : 6 from below upper angle ; 7, 8, 9 stalked, 7 typically from beyond 9 : 10. 11 from cell. Hind wing with the eosta typically lobed before middle in male, then some- what excised : vein 2 from towards end of cell ; 3. 5 coincident: 4 absent; 6, 7 on a long stalk ; S from before middle of cell in male and to the extremity of the costal lobe, from towards end of cell in female. In key differs from Neritos in the fore wing having veins 3. 4 stalked: hind wing with veins 3 and 5 coincident. Sei t. I.
