Fortress of Shuhur, Jeypore, Rajpootana
The fortress of Shuhur built on a rocky outcrop is now known today as the Amber Fort. It is located near the City of Jaipur and represents a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. It was built by the Rajah Maan Singh in 1592 in the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar and enlarged and modified over the next century or so into its present form.
