His description of " Supra murina, subtus albida ; rectrices macula ovali allbd in latere interno; pedes nudi, nigri; rostrum nigrum; remiges obscuriores quam pluma dor sales; rectrices remigibus concolores; caudd emarginatd, nee forcipatd; " a^^ rees very well with the bird in question : but when he comes to advance that it is " statura hirundinis urbica^^ and that " definitio hirundinis riparia Linnai huic quoque converiiit" he in some measure invalidates all he has said ; i,t least he shows at once.
