Marine Sergeant Abel L. Kavanaugh of Denver, Colorado is greeted by a crowd of well-wishers at Clark Air Force Base as he and 55 other former prisoners of war depart for the United States. Sergeant Kavanaugh was a member of the 2nd Bn., 5th Regiment, latMarDiv, and was captured on April 24, 1968. He was released from captivity on March 16, 1973, in Hanoi, North Vietnam.
