At a Session of the Court held in KingstonAugust 20th, 1681, Whereas it is found that no guardis kept, and this place ought to be guarded, thereforethe court is obliged, for the sake of protecting theplace against fire as well as other dangers, to appoint arattle-watch as they are doing by the present.
