Brigadier General Michael F. Fahey III, Commanding General of Force Headquarters Group (FHG), addresses Marines and Sailors of 4th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) and their families during Family Day at the Marine Corps Reserve Center, West Palm Beach, Florida, October 29, 2016. Brigadier General Fahey thanked members of the unit and their families for their service and sacrifice, and stressed the importance of readiness. 4th ANGLICO is one the Marine Corps’ six such fire support and liaison companies, three of which – 3D ANGLICO, 4th ANGLICO, and 6th ANGLICO – are subordinate commands of Force Headquarters Group, a major subordinate command of Marine Forces Reserve. ANGLICO’s mission is to provide commanders of a Marine Corps Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) a liaison capability to plan, coordinate, and conduct terminal control of fires in support of joint, allied, and coalition forces. In support of that mission, ANGLICO Marines are capable of controlling close air support, naval gunfire support, and a broad array of artillery and precision-guided munitions.
