The British shale gas exploration and production company, at Mere Brow Village Hall, Preston on the occasion of a public relations event prior to a planning application. Caudrilla are applying for further approval to drill, fracture and flow test a well in Hesketh Bank in 2013, Cuadrilla who are exploring for gas in Lancashire, are to submit an application to Lancashire County Council to continue work at a temporary site at Becconsall where a 10,500 feet deep well was drilled in August 2012.


Mark Miller has more than 35 years industry experience and is widely recognised as one of industry’s leading well test analysts. He is a founder and former president of Eastern Reservoir Service (ERS), acquired by Patterson-UTI in 2003. Prior to founding ERS he held a number of management and technical jobs for Dowell Schlumberger in North America, Europe and the Middle East. He holds a BSc in Engineering from Penn State University. Here talking to Josh Owen. Shale gas reserves in Lancashire could have a market value of £136bn, the firm applying to extract gas from the area estimates. Cuadrilla Resources chief executive Francis Egan said the valuation of gas in Lancashire's Bowland basin was not "over optimistic".
