The roofingover the whole building is composed of 5j4-i-reinforced concrete slab, covered with five-plypitch felt and gravel roofing. The guttersalong the eaves of the clere story are of i6-ouncecopper, while the counter-flashing between the roof and theside sections of the parapet, which runs completely aroundthe building, is of 14-ounce copper, tacked to a 2-in. x strip. The plate girders of the side section are 3 in. in depth at their outer ends, and about 2 ft. 4 in. in depth. The parapet of the building is protected witha glazed tile coping. Ample light is furnished to the interiorby a double row of windows along each side, but skylightsare omitted. An exterior view of the sheds as viewed from where they rest upon the columns for supporting the clerestory. The six tracks run completely through the building,the doorways being fitted with rolling steel doors. The doorlintels are each of two lo-in. I-beams.
