St. Margarets, Tokyo, has always beenthe source from which most of our mis-sion women have come. Our greatestanxiety now is, what- will our school beif St. Margarets has to be closed be-cause the funds for rebuilding cannotbe raised? The Bible-classes, the at-tendance at the daily Church services,the whole beautiful Christian atmos-phere of St. Margarets, all prepare theway for the Sendai DEACONESS RANSON AND THE STUDENTS: 1908 THE SEPTEMBER CONFERENCE AT 9:30 , on Thursday, Sep-tember 30th, a congregation ofdiocesan officers of the Wom-ans Auxiliary gathered in thechapel of the Church Missions numbers were small, but they hadcome from dioceses as distant as Mas-sachusetts and California, Louisiana andShanghai, and thus seemed to representthe entire Auxiliary in its widely scat-tered branches. For the last time, as General Secretaryof the Board of Missions, Dr. Lloydcelebrated for them the Holy Com-munion and gave them words of coun-sel. At the close of the service the officersassembled in the Board room, and onnomination of the Secretary, Mrs. Mont-eagle, president of the California branch,was chosen to preside. Prefacing themeeting, the Secretary reported the giftsmade by many friends in the Auxiliaryto Dr. Lloyd, reading the letter writtento accompany them, which was adoptedas the expression of the officers Loring
