This British steam-powered press uses a sheet feed to print on both sides of the paper on one machine by means of rollers turning the sheet over. In the early 1870s Richard March Hoe Invented a ‘Web Perfecting Press’. This used a continuous roll of paper which could be put through the machine at the rate of 800 feet (240 m) a minute in one pass.
