Cw 6649 Pink house High Street Amble Amble is a small town on the north east coast of Northumberland in North East England. It was a former mining and fishing town, with most of the signs of the mining having disappeared though there is still a small fishing fleet that works out of the harbour. This is a pink house on the high street in the town, which is at the top of the hill, it isn’t the main shopping street now, which is Queen Street, a bit further down the hill. This house is within a terrace of cottages, probably a former fisherman’s home? The town of Amble has been undergoing a renaissance in recent years and is now considered a trendy and fashionable place to live, being recently named by the Sunday Times Newspaper as one of the places to live in 2019.
