Screen shot of an Experian Credit Score screen showing a massive drop following a failed identity theft attempt (in the UK).

The screen shot shows the result of an unsuccessful attempt to open a series of fraudulent personal loans, credit cards and store cards (4 in total) in the space of a few days. The result was a 138 point fall from 962 to 824 out of 999 points. The owners details were passed to CIFAS, a fraud prevention service in the United Kingdom to reduce the chance of it happening again. The personal account recovered back to 'good' (about 900+) approximately 4 months later.
