Of the sixty-ninegirls admitted during the year, twenty-two were in bad conditionof health, and one was suffering from inanition. One girl, out onticket-of-leave, was returned, suffering from typhoid fever. Sherecovered after being seriously ill for three weeks. Two cases oftyphoid fever developed in the institution. One was critically illseveral weeks. Both girls recovered. One girl was taken s
