Of the sixty-ninegirls admitted during the year, twenty-two were in bad conditionof health, and one was suffering from inanition. One girl, out onticket-of-leave, was returned, suffering from typhoid fever. Sherecovered after being seriously ill for three weeks. Two cases oftyphoid fever developed in the institution.
