History of Spain. Cadiz, Andalusia. Matagorda Factory. Shipyard in Puerto Real (Cádiz). Construction began in September 1872. It was inaugurated on 3 July 1878 by the Marquis of Comillas, Antonio López y López (1817-1883). The shipyard was designed by the Scottish engineers Bell and Miller.
