Beaver River, May 19, 21. Three pair observed on in- land lake on east shore at north end of lie k la Crosse Lake, May 80. [GoLDEN-E YE, (C/angM?a clangula americana)].— Observed Big River, May 9. Very numerous Crooked Lake, May 12, 18, and Beaver River, May 19. Numerous, in flocks, Shagwenaw Lake, Churchill River, June 1. Observed below Knee Lake, Churchill River, June 6. Observed number of duck on Cochrane River, August 13, which I think were this species in winter plumage; remarked that birds flocked and probably begin- ning to move slowly south in migration. One taken north of Fort Du Brochet, September 24. [White-winged Scoter {Oidemia deglandi)],—.
