The counter trade has come to life in Chicago and other eastern cities this week, influenced by spring weather! Along the eastern seaboard the season is •at its height. Joseph Beeck & Sons Co., Boston, have added the nursery business to their line, handling it through a separate cor- poration just organized by themselves and Alfred E. Robinson. The mail orders are on the sharp down grade, but the total to date is fairly satisfactory, some of the younger houses reporting excellent increases without, ap- parently, having pulled anything away from the large older concerns.
