Jiang Zi Ya The Legendary Sage A tall sculpture of the wise Jiang Zi who was part of Feng Shen Bang (Sage of the Immortals), beside the Signature Pond casting his line and hook. He was added to the park in the 1950s at Haw Par Villa formerly known as the Tiger Balm Garden beside Pasir Panjang Road on the western side of Singapore. Jiang Zi Ya was the most famous angler in Chinese history. He was also a Chinese military general, monarch, strategist, and writer. He played a crucial role in helping King Wen and King Wu of the Zhou dynasty overthrow the Shang dynasty in ancient China The park, the last of its kind in the World, is an eccentric theme park, a Chinese mythology statue park, and Singapore’s largest outdoor art gallery displaying over 1,000 Chinese statues and 150 giant dioramas depicting scenes from Chinese Literature, folklore, legends, history, and statuary of key Chinese religions, Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism.
