Kathmandu, Nepal - October 1984 Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is an ancient city located at around 4500 feet elevation in the Kathmandu Valley in the centre of the country. Herew we see traditional puppets displayed in a tourist and backpacker - oriented shop. Note: Shot 37 years ago, this image is subject to analog photographic quality limitations of its time. However, these images have - I believe - historic and cultural value due to their age, the relatively untouched nature of Nepal at the time, and the subsequent wholesale destruction of many of the spots visited by the October 2015 earthquake.
