TREATMENT 357 The Temporary Dressing.—The Pillow and Side Splints.—The leg is placed on a pillow covered with a pillow-case ; strapsare placed under the pillow and drawn snugly up aboutthe leg (see Fig. 504). The edges of the pillow are rolled inagainst the leg for firmness. Narrowly folded towels are placedbetween the leg and the straps. The straps are then drawntighter.
