This image shows a view of part of Stora Sjöfallet National Park, one of the remotest parts of Sweden, in Lapland and inside the Arctic Circle. Taken in September, autumn is already well advanced here, with the first snows falling on the mountains. Along with three other national parks and two nature reserves, Stora Sjöfallet is part of Laponia, a UNESCO World Heritage Area, the largest protected area in the European Union.
