Woman crossing the Carrick a Rede rop bridge Co Antrim Northern Ireland
This 20m long, 1m wide bridge made of wire rope spans the chasm between the little island of Carrick-a-Rede and the sea cliffs east of Ballintoy. Swaying 30m above the water the bridge was put up annually by fishermen fishing for migrating salmon. Now renovated by the national trust.
