A Grand Cross of the Iron Cross 1939., Stamped blackened iron core. Rim-high swastika. Polished silver frame with an integrally cast loop, bearing the "800" hallmark on the back beneath the loop. The black discolouration on the frame are traces of oxidation and not lacquer used to colour the core. Replacement ribbon ring of silver-plated brass wire. Dimensions x mm. Weight grams. With a ca. cm. long section of the Grand Cross ribbon 57 mm wide. This class of the Grand Cross was only awarded to Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring on 19 July 1940. ,
