Head and thorax deep purplish chestnut; antennae dark brown ; pectus and legs whitish, the tibiae and tarsi suffused with purple, the tarsi ringed with white ; abdomen grey-brown, the anal tuft purplish, the ventral surface white. Fore wing deep purplish chestnut with a silvery gloss; traces of a diffused curved blackish subbasal line and oblique slightly waved antemedial line ; an indistinct blackish discoidal lunule ; postmedial line indistinct, blackish, excurved below costa and incurved below vein 4; a punctiform blackish subterminal line, excurved below vein 7 and at middle; a terminal series of black points. Hind wing yellowish white; the termen and cilia tinged with purple from apex to vein 2 and with terminal series of dark striae; the underside with the costal area irrorated with red, the terminal area suffused with red from apex to vein 2.
