Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys, UK. 29th August, 2015. Participants set off for the Bog Snorkelling Triathalon under rain laden skies on day one of The World Bogsnorkelling Championships which were conceived 30 years ago in a Welsh pub by landlord Gordon Green, and are held every August Bank Holiday at Waen Rhydd Bog near Llanwrtyd Wells. Using unconventional swimming strokes, participants swim two lengths of a 55 metre trench cut through a peat bog wearing snorkel and flippers. The 2014 World Champion is 33 year old Kirsty Johnson from Lightwater, Surrey. Credit: Graham M. Lawrence/Alamy Live News
