Greece, Folegandros island. The central alley in the Castle of the Chora (the capital of the island)

Here you can see the Chora of Folegandros, in fact its "heart", the "Castle". By saying "Castle" it's not the classic castle that you have in mind. These small houses, stuck the one to the other form part of the castle itself. The walls of the castle are the exterior walls of these houses, more than 1 m thick, and they keep standing there for more than 700 or 800 years. The road you can see here, is the "central" road of the Castle, and it's called the "Grand Rua" by the locals.
