At this ser-vice the building committee reported a surplus in thetreasury after paying all bills incidental to the erectionand completion of the chapel. 198. Jacob Neffofficiating, and Rev. E. T. Kretschmann preaching thesermon. The pastorate of Rev. J. H. Neiman terminated Sep-tember 1, 1898. On August 6, 1899, the Rev. J. Fred-erick Kramlich, of Kutztown, Pa. (a graduate of theLutheran Seminary, Mt. Airy, Philadelphia, class of1899), the newly elected pastor, preached his introduc-tory sermon. The installation service was held Sun-day morning, August 13, Rev. J. H. Waidelich, presi-dent of the Norristown Conference, delivering thecharge to the congregation and performing the act ofinstallation and Rev. S. L. Harkey, , deliveringthe charge to the pastor. Because of the inadequacy of the chapel to meet therequirements of the rapidly increasing membership ofthe congregation, it was decided at a congregationalmeeting held in
