'After the Taking of Malakoff on 8th September 1855', c1855. Fought between the French and the Russians on 7-8 September 1855, the Battle of Malakoff was a part of the Siege of Sevastopol during the Crimean War. The capture of the Malakoff Tower by the French compelled the Russians to abandon the city to the Allies. Found in the collection of the State Museum of the Defence of Sevastopol 1854-1855, Sevastopol.
