SUPPLEMENT TO IMLAY'S 1902 SEED BEST OF ALL. CHALLENGE BLACK WAX. Best Early Wax Bean for the Market Garden. It was introduced in 1891, and continued experience has satisfied us of the great merit oi this variety as the earliest wax podded bean. Ingrowth and general appearance the plants are the same as the old Black Wax or Butter Bean, but are earlier an dm ore productive, and are the first to give a full pickiag of pods. The pods are clear waxy-white, quite round, very fleshy, crisp, tender and stringless. The dry bean is jet black, longer, more curved, and flatter than the Prolific German Wax. In all our comparisons with other extra early sorts we found it unexcelled in quality. 8c % pint, 15c pint, 25c quart. I^^For Beans by mail, add 8c pint, 15c quart. BEANS. BEST OF ALL. This is one of the finest and most pro- ductive varieties for summer use. Plants grow stiffly erect, eightepn to twenty inches in height, holding the profusion of long, straight pods well above the ground. The pods are six inches long, flattened when young, brittle and nearly stringless, of rich flavor, light green in color, though when ripening they turn yellow with carmine stripings. One of the most desirable both for market and home use if they are gath- ered young. 10c % pint, 15c pint, 30c Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original Imlay, Jno.
