The uses of the machine in connection with railroadwork are many and varied. As a multiple typewriter, it isbeing used in electric railroad offices for producing instruc-tions to division superintendents, car barn foremen, power-house and substation employes, and all the similar circularwork which every electric railway company sends out almostdaily. It is being largely used, also, in public educationalwork. Multigraph letters, being actually typewritten, com-mand the personal attention of those whom railroad com-panies desire to interest in any municipal campaign. The. The Gammeter Electric Railway Company, of Cleveland, O., hasfound the machine valuable in this way during its three-centfare agitation. The greatest saving of the Gammeter multigraph, how-ever, probably is due to its capabilities as an office printingpress. There are hundreds of forms in railroad work whichcan be printed on this machine, at a saving of 50 per cent,of the printers charge. No extra or high-priced experiencedhelp is required for this work, as the type-setting is auto-matic, and about all the operator must know is his saving in time is as great as the saving in money, be-cause the work is secured when it is wanted, as it Is wantedand in unlimited quantity. The machine will print any form within the dimensionsof &Vs by 17 inches, and on any kind of paper from tissueto cardboard.
