INTRODUCERS' DESCRIPTIONS. America.—(Hill). Color, pure, light scarlet, of soft, even shade; this variety has been and still is in perfect health; we have never seen rust, sport nor stem-rot attack it; it is a vigorous grower with nice grass of medium weight. The flower is of large size, nicely filled but not crowded with petals; it has a very strong calyx, a perfectly upright stem, of 20 to 24 inches height; it is early coming into bloom, and its strongest points are its freedom, large size and easy culture. $ per doz., $10 per 100. G. H. Crane. — (Domer). The coming scarlet carna- tion. Tested three years and has proven to stand preeminent as a commercial carnation. With quality as a foremost feature quantity is not lack- ing. An early, continuous, all season bloomer; average three inch blooms, well formed flower and calyx, sixteen to eighteen inch stem, stiff and erect throughout the whole season. Color, a clear brilliant scarlet. Strong, robust, clean prowth and well formed bushy plants. Easy to lift and quick- ly established. A wonderful productive carnation that we recommend to every grower. Certificate and silver medal
