The Abric Romaní, a shelter opened in the travertine Capelló Cliff, is an archaeological Palaeolithic site where excavations have been performed since 1983 under the direction of Dr. Eudald Carbonell. The excavation works on the site, pioneer in archaeological science, have allowed us to place the Abric Romaní as the most important register to know how our prehistoric ancestors the Neanderthals lived between 75000 and 40000 years ago.
