A man, believed to be in his 30s has been fatally stabbed at approximately 0235hrs on Sunday, 10th February 2019. Police were called to the junction with East Dulwich Grove, SE22 where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 0304hrs. There have been no arrests at this early stage. Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing. Unconfirmed reports are that the victim fell into an argument whilst inside PAYLESS Food & Wine, 24 Lordship Lane where he was later followed outside and attacked.

Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. Road closures remain in place around the scene.
