A fine yellow variety, which was awarded a Certificate by the National Chryanthemuni Society, and a valuable addition to the second early sorts It grows about 2 feet high, with foliage of great beauty and nicely car- JJ ried up to the flower ; blooms large, incurved and very full ; in color a fine soft yellow. Eeady March 1st. 50 cts. each ; $ perdoz.; $ per 100. MIIS. COLONEL, GOODMAN. One of the best of all the new Chrysanthemums for cut flow- ers or as a pot plant. It was awarded a Certificate of Merit for commercial purposes by the Chrysan- themum Society of America, at Philadelphia, No- vember 7th, 1896—an honor clearly earned by its wonderful lasting qualities. It remains in splen- did condition from November 7th until the 22nd, clearly proving a lasting quality, not equalled by any other Chrysanthemum. The plant is of fine habit, specimens having been grown in 10-inch pots with more than 100 large flowers. The foliage is all that could be desired, carried on erect stems, and well up to the flowers. The flowers are of splendid form, perfectly globular, measuring from 16} to 18 inches in circumference ; petals regular, cup-shaped, of great substance ; the color, strange to say, may be had as desired. Grown in a tem- perature of 50°, the flowers are a fine pink ; at 60°, a blush white ; at 65°, a fine white—thereby ena- bling the grower to have them whatever shade he may desire. 50 cts. each ; $ perdoz.; $ Mks. Col. Goodman—Chrysanthemum. Selection of Standard Varieties. Per 100 Ada Spaulding. Habit most sturdy and robust; color distinct, the lower half of the flower being a rich, deep pink, shading to purest pearl .$4
