Sentinels, artworks by Dan Dubowitz, in Cutting Room Square with the restored former church of , Ancoats, Manchester, England, UK

At one side of the square are five 'Sentinels', high definition photographic images set within frames, by Ancoats artist-in-residence, Dan Dubowitz, and in its centre is a sunken area for performance and play. The name of the square and the inspiration for the artworks comes from the rich history of the textile industry in Ancoats - this outdoor space was where factory workers once cut large swathes of material. The church later became a rehersal room for the Hallé Orchestra and named Hallé St Peter's.
