The Florida National Guard has been activated to support Governor Ron DeSantis’ recent Executive Order 23-03, dated January 6, 2023, to provide resources in support of state and local agencies responding to an influx of migrant landings in South Florida. As a supporting agency, the Florida National Guard has activated up to 150 personnel and 12 helicopters to assist in detecting, identifying, and reporting activity through ongoing aviation operations out of the Florida Keys.
