A pair of German jeweller's or coin scales, circa 1700 Openworked and engraved double-headed eagle with a semicircular, fire-gilt brass scale, the lower section stamped "F M". The screw-mounted, blued iron bracket with attached, gilded balance beam, the two balancing pans each bearing a stamped lion's mark. The strings are a later replacement.
