BIRMINGHAM, Al (June 25, 2017)— Spc. Ian Miller, info rech specialist for the 135th ESC, poses for a portrait with all of his gear before travel. Deploying Soldiers have up to three duffels and a pelican case and all of their gear combined can weigh upwards of 200 pounds. The rest of the day will be spent traveling to Fort Hood, Tx where they will conduct training exercises before leaving the country.
