The sjjecies diti'er markedly among themselves in the form of the ears and noseleaf as well as in other characters, a fact which has given rise to a considerable number of generic and subgeneric names. For the present only one of these groups, AselJht, is recognized as dis- tinct from Ilipposideroa^ but fur- ther study of the species may show the convenience of distinguishing others.
