The album contains photos of his time stationed at Hickam Field on Oahu Island, Hawaii, and the rest of his long military career. He was stationed at Hickam Field on Dec 7, 1941; the day of the Japanese surprise attack to destroy the Navy Pacific Fleet anchored at Pearl Harbor. Kowalski was a master sergeant at the time and was tasked with keeping records of the dead and wounded at Hickam Field. Eddins Jr.
