A blossoming hybrid lavender field overlooking the Sainte-Croix Lake (Alpes de Haute Provence - France). Mainly cultivated, the "Lavandin" - as it is called in France - is a hybrid between two lavenders: the true lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Miller) and the spica lavender (Lavandula latifolia Vill). Champ de lavandin en fleur donnant sur le lac de Sainte-Croix (Alpes de Haute Provence - France). Majoritairement cultivé, le lavandin est un hybride entre deux lavandes: la lavande vraie (Lavandula angustifolia Miller) et la lavande aspic (Lavandula latifolia Vill).
